Fall 2015 Internship with the Middle East Institute in Washington, D.C.

The Middle East Institute (MEI) is looking for recent graduates or students who are able to be in Washington, D.C., in fall 2015 to serve as internships.  The Middle East Institute offers an array of positions that engage a wide range of professional interests and talents. On a given day, Dr. Marvin Weinbaum's Research Assistant might co-author an op-ed with him on Afghanistan's political culture, while the Programs and Communications interns might organize and help host a conference on the ongoing healthcare crisis for displaced populations. With over 25 intern positions across 7 different departments, MEI have a variety of internships that attract a diverse pool of interns.

Although their internships are unpaid, MEI works to ensure that its interns are compensated for their contributions. Among other benefits, they offer a free language class, daily travel reimbursement, a year-long online subscription to the Middle East Journal, and a series of talks exclusively dedicated to advancing our interns' professional careers and their knowledge of the region. The deadline for fall internships (which run from early September to mid-December) is Tuesday, July 7. For more information, visit the Middle East Institute's website, or email internships@mei.edu with questions.
