RESEARCH SUPPORT ASSOCIATE, Political Science, to be actively involved in a portfolio of research investigating the challenges of democratic development in sub-Saharan Africa. Responsibilities include assisting in the fielding of experiments and surveys; project administration; grant proposal writing; and data collection, cleaning, and analysis.

This is an ideal position for someone who wants to gain research experience in political science, a related social science discipline, or the field of development.



REQUIRED. An undergraduate degree with significant social science course work (political science, economics, psychology and/or sociology) is preferred, along with strong knowledge of social science research and data collection methods (qualitative and quantitative). Those with skills in statistical analysis (Stata or R) and data management (spreadsheets and databases) and/or strong visual design skills will be particularly competitive.  Job #12677-5

There will be occasional travel to Africa.

This is a one-year position with the possible extension to two or three years.
