Volunteer with the U.M. Chapter of the Food Recovery Network

The Food Recovery Network at Ole Miss is beginning its second semester on campus. The organization has chapters all over the United States, and ours is the first in Mississippi. Since it was founded in 2011, FRN has donated over 1.4 million pounds of food to provide over 1.2 million pounds of food to those in need. Here, Ole Miss Dining Services packages left over food from campus and delivers it to the local More Than A Meal organization to better serve our fellow Oxford citizens. It not only promotes sustainability on campus, but it also serves those in need.

To get started this year, we need volunteers! The recovery takes place every Tuesday at 3:30. It takes less than an hour's commitment. Please email Connor Holeman at choleman@go.olemiss.edu to sign up to help with this great cause!
