Croft Professor Addresses Bolivia-Chilean Relations in Latin American Advisor

Croft Instructional Assistant Professor Miguel Centellas recently contributed to the featured question and answer article in Latin American Advisor, a daily publication of the Inter-American Dialogue, a think tank that works for "democratic governance, prosperity, and social equity in Latin America and the Caribbean."  Dr. Centellas's comments addressed Bolivia's case at the International Court of Justice regarding their claim to sovereign access to the Pacific Ocean through Chile.  He does not think the ICJ will give Bolivia control over Chilean territory or that such control, even if obtained, would be as useful to Bolivia as a free trade pact with Chile.
