Croft Sophomore Wins Rose Bui Memorial Scholarship for Academic Excellence

Croft sophomore Sarah David is this year's winner of the Rose Bui Memorial Scholarship for Academic Excellence.  Named for Rose Kim Bui, a Croft Institute Scholar who passed away before graduating in 2005, the scholarship is given to a rising sophomore in the international studies major.  Sarah David, who is from Brandon, Mississippi, is studying German.  She says that she became interested in Germany after watching the German national soccer team play when she was young.  After researching the country and its culture, she decided to learn the language so she could possibly live there one day.  Sarah wrote that she is honored and thankful for the scholarship, which will push her to continue her efforts to maintain a high standard in her studies so she will achieve great things in the future.
