“Croft is special in the sense that its environment feeds a student’s curiosity about the world while honing skills in critical thinking, writing, and foreign language. Taking the OPI was important, but far more important was all of the preparation leading up to the exam—I still use many of those same practice techniques today in order to maintain my Spanish and Portuguese. My current position at CDC calls for daily interaction with public health colleagues from all over the world, and I am constantly referring back to resources and lessons learned from my time at Croft in order to build and sustain effective partnerships.”
