Professor Antonia Eliason
Associate Professor of Law

Antonia Eliason is an international law expert, specializing in international economic law.  She joined the faculty of the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2013 and has been teaching at the Croft Institute since 2019. Her research focuses on issues relating to climate change and sustainable development, sovereign debt, the international drug conventions, international investment law, and Roma rights. At the Croft Institute, Prof. Eliason teaches Introduction to International Law, which approaches the study of international law through a Third World Approaches to International Law (TWAIL) critical legal framework.

Before joining the faculty, Prof. Eliason worked as an associate at Allen & Overy in London in the US Corporate Finance group, focusing on debt and equity securities. She also worked in Allen & Overy’s Hong Kong office, as well as at Credit Suisse in London. Prior to joining Allen & Overy, she interned in the Legal Affairs division of the World Trade Organization and clerked for Judge Lenaerts at the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg.
